TongSheng TSDZ8 ekd01 display 5 pin cable work with a bafang 5 pin extension cable?

I am fed up with my Canbus Bafang BBS02 throttle not going over 10mph. So I am looking at a TongSheng TSDZ8 uart. Anyone know if the 5 pin Bafang extension cable would work with the 5 pin ekd01 display?
I am wanting to install this on my ICE Adventure HD recumbent trike.
