I was driving through heavy rain on a smoth concrete roller-derby course. The board slipped and I was on my stomach. Didn’t hurt myselfe at all :)
The remote slided some 10 yards away. I stand up and felt the concrete was slippery as ice.

I have fallen of the board one time when I was jumping on it to pushing it in the basement a few yards, but it was not on and I was drunk so it doesn’t count (fall heavy on my back that time thou and it did hurt).

A handfull of times I have lost balance and had spagetti legs without controll and thinking; IM GOING TO CRASCH! IM GOING TO CRASCH! but somehow I didn’t. This time I didn’t have time to think more than; IM IN A CRASCH! Im only worried to break my foot ligaments because it takes ages to heal.

I kept driving through the ever increasing rain, really fun to go through puddles of water splashing from the wheels. I was impressed it could take so much water and still work, it was littery drenched. But it eventually shut off. Had to push home and manage to step in dog shit also

A lot of work cleaning and than took the electronics apart. I find water on the curcuit bord for the remote signal, it now dries, hope it will work later. Thinking of spraying some wax on the curcuit board to protect it.

Glad you are OK! Thanks for the laugh and funny story.

I've looked at some "conformal coatings" to see what i could spray ESC with to keep it water resistant. I've looked at some of the "dip" methods and silicone brush/layers to protect, but concerned w/ heat buildup if too much coating on hot parts. Figure it will kill the ESC (heat is usually a bad thing).

Let us know if after it dries you are able to get it going again?

:D Sounds like some fun!

Well, except for stepping in the doggy doo and then having to skate and get it on your board.

Nice that you got more fear than harm !

Not the same circumstances but I was not as lucky as you (well you could say I still ooze of luck there), Last Saturday I got my whole right arm through a freaking glass, the fight was epic I broke the hell out of her but she gave me her last breath by giving me a life memory carved on my meat !

Ok this is no luck pure stupidity instead. Where I got lucky is that I won't have sequels in my hand or arm so in 3 weeks it will be like new, just with a tribal line traced on it.

After this I'll be sure to protect myself before riding ;)

About your spray dip you can try the same silicon spray used for smartphones ? Or you can stuff aero holes with felt inside to protect from dust and splashes ?
