Having a bad day ?
Blew up a controller ?
Someone stole your bike and you need to vent ? :x

This would be the place...

If you have something on your mind and feel that it's a bit too much for " General Discussion " ..

If a thread goes off course in another section of the forum and it's not quite bad enought to delete or lock.. it may end up in here.

Politics and Religion... 2 things that generally erupt and get people all emotional would end up in here, tho we suggest you all try to keep those at a minimum.. but if you absolutely have to...

This is NOT an open season for insulting people and threats of personal harm .. this will not be tolerated.

Other than that !

Play safe !

I hate everything.
With time, my young friend, you will learn that hate is a strong sentiment that degrades everything it touches; including oneself.

I eventually learned to simply dislike everything. And everybody.

it appears that hate and revenge are primordial human instincts, which we have not evolved away from and which is fixated on people, and not institutions since it has always been individuals we respond to, institutions are modern inventions.

No, mine's almost invariably an unfocused hate bred of frustration, which, for all intents and purposes, is the same as hating everything. :?

Just a reminder that forum rules apply, and no personal flaming. This forum gets particular attention since it seems to breed inflammatory comments. Don't be surprised If I delete your comments and warn you, so practice some self censorship and don't go off the deep end.

i remember one place that had an abuse thread started by a member i know well, me. It took off like a rocket and was very sucessfull. People jsut couldnt get enough.

It caused a lot of pain to a few that wanted to prove that this type of forum interaction was doomed. In contrast someone started a love thread, it was interesting that the love thread ended up more popular than the hate thread. in the end.

Humanity still has a chance imo, sadly that forum doesnt.

Mein gott! I'm reminded of my hex-wife! ... except there was a lockbox right about at eye level...

As for Hate:

Suffering less so with laughter, KF

I can't think of a better place to put this joke I heard today:

OBSCENE PHONE CALL

Phone rings, woman answers.

Heavy breather, "I bet you have a tight cunt with no hair..."

Woman, "Yes, he's watching TV - who shall I say is calling?

this is not alternative energy according to the list of energy sources.

look at the price on this gas pump in utah. from my experience with amount of clothing and fingers in pockets, powder snow, about 20o F. they really did have CNG for 60 cents a gallon.

the honda civic CNG will get 40mpg so $6 will get you 400 miles down the road. 1.5 cents/mile. no need to power a jet turbine to generate electricity to run the EV part of your car, just use the CNG and be able to skip over those long sections of highway where you can not charge and don't have the time. to me, this is the other side of the plug in hybrid. the direct injection CNG engine.

anyway, proof of how cheap CNG is:

CNG is a great motor fuel. To a large extent, any CNG we can save via renewables (i.e. by reducing the need for peakers and baseline CNG plant run time) saves motor fuel for the future.

Ironicly, its the very adoption of RE generation that increases the need for gas peaker plant usage !
..and the relentless campaign against coal generation that dictates the introduction of more Gas fueled generation plants. !

You could argue that it will increase the need for peaker PLANTS if greater adoption of RE results in the closure of coal and natural gas baseline plants.

However overall it will decrease the AMOUNT of gas power plants burn, since the energy generated by solar/wind represents gas that doesn't have to be burned.

FYI, us moderators have not been enforcing the no personal attacks rule here for long enough and letting this place be a free for all for people to build grudges against each other across the forum. Many resulting discussions are not even worthy of being hosted on this web site.

There have been threats of physical harm over disagreements on politics, and it is irresponsible on our part to let this fester and get worse.

The worst of the political threads featuring long strings of ad hominem attacks will be locked or maybe even deleted in the future.

Individuals who primarily use this place to post incendiary content and do things like make threads and multiple ad hominem attacks will be warned and then punished in the future. No action will be taken on existing threads ( other than locking them ) and past offenses will be 'grandfathered in' because we did not give an expectation that the posted rules would be enforced.

What OTD SHOULD be is a place to discuss things that don't fit the main areas of the forum; not a warzone.

These are no longer the rules. This thread will be kept for reference to the past.
