TSDZ2 motor problem

I just got one of these motors and when it is off there is no noise, however as soon as I turn on the power it makes a grinding noise Here is a video I made of it.

Any idea on what is wrong?

I had posted this in another thread that was old, so I figured I had probably better give it it's own thread.

I just got this motor too, and mine is super quiet.

However I got two left crankshafts... or, at least I had to attach two left pedals to it. I'm feeling silly, but this cannot be a user error, right, the left pedals screw on just fine, on both sides.

Ok, pulling this apart I get to here

Something is stopping me from pulling that part out. Anyone know how to proceed.??

Matt, I did not check the crank arms, but I did screw on a left and right pedal ok.

Ok, got it out with a block of wood and a rubber mallet
Now to figure out how to get the gear off.
