I'm hoping someone can help me understand the Votol software and how to set up and tune the controller step-by-step. I've gone through various Votol manuals from different websites, but I'm still frustrated with some of the functions and the correct values for each tab. With the manuals also lack guidance on matching and tuning the motor with the controller. I'm currently trying to figure out the right values for phase current, flux weakening, flux compensations, over modulation, etc. Below, I've attached some of my unfinished revisions based on my understanding of the Votol software. The red font indicates details I'm still unsure about and might contain errors. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Very likely this post was AI generated and was used to help create backlinks for an industrial touchscreen manufacture.
I've removed the unrelated link to the touchscreen company in the post.

have you checked out any youtube tutorials? sometimes seeing it in action helps more than manuals. just a thought!

Tuning still working on my Cyc X6 controller BT and now looking at the sw900 and it's limited to 20amp unless unlimited. And I was looking in the X6 controller Bluetooth programming. But now it may be limited in the SW 900 display.. it really really hates to go to his program page you got to push the same buttons 10 to 15 times it'll just decide okay I'll be reprogram now oh it's female.
Okay that's just a joke. I'm old.

When I'm trying to say is you have a controller that you can program you have a display that you can program you had a speed limiting wire etc etc. so you have to pick the right card in the deck.

You can spent a week going through the gigantic threads on Votol, yet you will still have problems. I keep getting close to putting this all together into a "Votol for Dummies" manual but I am still missing a library of software versions. This is where people succeed or fail. If you have a new Votol, you can likely get the correct software. If you have that, it is a 3 step process:

1. First setup the GUI interface with your first best data. The Vin Fast interface is pretty helpful and has tips for most parameters.
2. Run the self identify test (
)
3. If it is running decent, then you are ready to Calibrate or tune the controller for the motor you are using. Here is how you at least open the Calibration menu.
Now you have to set the Flux values to balance the D and Q axis for current and voltage (also called Alpha Beta three phase simplification). We need a video on this.

I am going to make a plea for the software in this forum. If I can make sense of this, I think I will have the final Keystone. There are some people out east (Philippines, Vietnam, and China) that have this but are trying to make money tuning Votol controllers for people. They are tricky and not cheap.
