UART no.2 Protocol

For a project, we need displays to be mounted on e-bikes. The manufacturers I've contacted told me that their displays communicate with the controllers using the UART protocol no.2. Since our controller is custom-made, where can I find documentation for this protocol (or others)?

The No2 protocol (and many others) is implemented in the EBiCS firmware.
