Hello all

I am looking to buy a used Sur Ron battery 60 volt. Could anyone be so kind as to advise on or link to anyone who has done this conversion please.

At the moment I haven't bought anything, there is a chap selling such a bike online but it's too far away, so I know it's possible. I did ask what bits he had but replied saying he isn't wasting his time sending links or info charming lol.

I can't justify spending £700 on a battery that would be plug and play that has half the range and half the power.

The going rate for a used Sur Ron battery is £400 which seems great for something capable of 60volts and 60 amps and some nice range :)

Having recently had knee surgery I need something to keep up with the kids going through woods and trails and recapture my youth.

Thanks for any input Paul.

I'm not sure what your question is, but a Sur-ron battery should have no problem working with a generic controller. You just won't have any state of charge indicator or overtemp signal for the controller.

I'm not sure what is meant by "offline". By conversion, are you asking about how to hang a 40 pound battery in a bicycle frame, or something technical/electrical regarding the battery and the kit? Will you be pedaling this bike?

Conversion of what, to what?

What "ebike kit offline" do you refer to in your thread title? Links to specific items you have or are considering would be helpful in helping us help you.

Without knowing what you want to connect the battery to, we can't tell you if it would work or not, or blow it up, start a fire, etc., or how you would need to connect them, what connectors to use, tools you'd need, etc.
