Checking between 5 volt and 15 volt test points to ground reads zero volts. I suspect a surface mount fuse. Anyone know where I should start?

Thank you!!!

Nothing visible like that on the one side of the one PCB your picture shows. Is "VEC500" one of the VESC projects? If so, have you checked the schematic from that project to see what fuses, if any, are in the circuits? If not, have you checked the other side of the visible PCB, and both sides of the PCB(s) under it?

Do you have the correct voltage supply to the controller, and the correct signals / etc to it to command it to turn on?

What led you to start testing it? Meaning, was it working and then stopped working? If so, what happened to it between the time it worked and the time it stopped working? These may lead to troubleshooting steps.

Thank you for responding.

After days of troubleshooting I finally got it working.

This is a BLDC sine wave controller. I’m using it with a 10kw Golden Motor, two systems, to re-power a 45’ catamaran. I first bench tested this some months back and it worked great. Then once installed it did nothing.

The short of it, I was plugging the multi pin connector in backwards. Yeah. The connector has two ribs meant to prevent improper insertion but they’re not enough in my hands (and opinion). 🤪

On the flip side, I guess my trouble shooting skills are still intact. It only took me four days but now I know all wires, switches and sensors work and their connections are burned into my brain! LOL

Thanks again!

Ross
