Hi guys
I have the following meter, except larger voltage reading, and am looking for a wat to mount it on my handlebars.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Waterproof-DC-2-5-to-30V-Red-LED-Panel-Meter-DC-Digital-Voltmeter-Two-wire-LS4G-/131262355289?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e8fd89759

I cant seem to attach zip ties.
Looking for some kind of silicon case or other casing to keep it on my bars. I dont want to have it hanging.

Any idea? Thanks!!

Double sticky mounting strip?

You run less than 30 Volts?

No thats not the exact meter...also since the bars are rounded the tape doesnt attach well

Too large just for a small meter..looking for a silicon wrap around holder..like many cheap lights have

I used a cable tie and mounted it to the stem. Put some double back foam tape on the bottom to keep the wires from shorting and to hold it in place on the top tube. Been here 2 years without a problem. I already have too much on my handlebars as it is.

I never ran that meter permanent on the bike. So my approach is much more temporary.

I made a cardboard enclosure for it, with two tabs on the bottom that are longer than the little box. Bend the tabs to 90 degrees, and it can be zip tied to the top bar of the bike. You can do that in 5 min today, while you think about a better way.

Something similar, but better could be done with a small plastic box as a starting point. Something like a plastic bottle could be the box.

For an elegant solution, look for a project box the right size and shape, then mount to the handle bar stem like a Cycleanalyst mount. Once you have a flat piece of metal attached to the stem at the top bolt, anything can be stuck there with Velcro.

Maybe something like this? $2.47 free shipping

I just thought of something else you could do. Make a saddle for the meter that would fit on the handlebar using epoxy putty.

Epoxy putty should be available at most hardware stores.

Wrap the handlebar in wax paper (I think wax paper should keep the epoxy from sticking). Cut off a piece of putty, kneed it until the 2 compounds mix well. Mold the epoxy around the handlebar and stick it to the back of the meter. After a few hours, it will harden up. You would still need a way to actually attach the meter but at least you would have a nice saddle for the flat bottom of the meter to sit on. Easy way to stick flat things on round tubes.

Hi Ebike11, got your pm and had replied to you. But I still see the pm in "outbox". I seldom use pm and so I am not sure if you receive it or not.
