Hey everyone. I found this forum from the following youtube video:

I've seen a few companies out there that are starting to make e-boards for golf, but the price point seems ridiculous at $6,000+. I'm convinced I can build one for closer to $1,000+.

I have a few questions for all the experts out here. I've been browsing the forum a bit, and seen some nice builds. I don't have that much knowledge on all the working parts. Is there an introduction article anywhere that would explain all the working parts? The only thing I seem to find is a build article with all the needed parts, but not really an explanation on how it all is connected.

Also, the biggest concern I have right now is battery life. In your opinions, is this possible to make something that could last at least 9 holes of golf? Ride distance would probably be a few miles at most, but the time would be around 2 hours. Would I be turning it on and off when I'm hitting shots, or just leave it running the entire time?

Thanks in advance for any input you may have. Hope to be sharing a build thread this year!!

You can fit a lot of packs on a MTB. Most people put them on the middle of the deck. HobbyKing also has the new Multistar packs in 4S 10ah/16ah, 6S 10ah/16ah which seem promising. Just received (2) 4S 16,000mah packs which look pretty nice. A bit big but should be great. I assume it will get about 16 to 20 mile range.

Why stop at golf? There's always pole vaulting. I used to play street hockey, running/no skates. Perhaps mountain board polo. . . ?

thanks for the info torqueboard! I'll look into those batteries.

Are there any pre-fab'd motor mounts for the mountain boards? I've come across a few, but it looks like they are for regular long board with the smaller wheels, and not mountain boards.

Not sure if they will be rounded trucks yet or not. Basically I'm open to using any type of truck that I can put some bigger wheels on than a longboard. Any input/ideas is greatly appreciated.
