What is acceptable spoke angle?

Awk. That wheel would have been much better laced radially. And it makes a great case against using 20" wheels on a hub motor build.

I’m doing 20” rim with a Mac hub motor and 1x. They’re cutting the spokes tomorrow so please tell me if you think I’m better with another pattern

Radial on a hub motor? I’ve read that before somewhere but read also not to do radial on driven wheel going back even on a a regular bike. I guess would depend on how much torque also.

depends on the angles involved and the rim design, etc.

there's a lot of discussion about radial lacing, much of which is in the posts linked here. probably more than you want to read but it would help you understand the good and the bad

includes actual experience with such wheels over time for various users

Amberwolf not a related topic there using those search words.
Sm that’s a lot of info and i read most and seems not a solid answer available as far as what cross pattern needed for the motor torque vs the need for a straight spoke at such and such length, so doing 1x

That picture looks like my spoke angle. Now my question, reusing the spokes will it shorten their life if I unlace the wheel then lace it back up?
Wanting to swap motors and reuse the rim and spokes.
