I got a Yuma 3000W motor 72v 40H. What does this 40H Means?

Without seeing the link I believe they're talking about the width of the magnets 28mm,35mm,40mm 45mm and 50mm. Remember though you wider the skater in the wider in the magnets the heavier the motor is.

Its the Chinese method of classifying radial motors. If you lay the hubmotor on its side, in the pic below the 35H number is the "Height" in millimeters.

You have to be careful and see what the axle flat width is because I think the 50h or 55h it becomes wider then 135mm drop out width for normal bicycles. You have to be careful when sellers are vague or advertise watts and dont mention magnet/stator width. I've seen it were they will say its a 1500w motor but its not a 35h motor but its a smaller, weaker 25-30h motor. The Leaf 1500w which is truly a 35h motor. A motor can run on any watts, but its a matter of for how long. People will also sell that 1500w or 35h hub motor as a 500 or 750w to capture North American customers, or list a 1000w 25-30H motor as 250w to capture European customers. They will "accidentally" have a wrong diagram of the motor on their sales website. Thats why you buy from a known entity and not gamble on some unknown seller. People can buy the 5000w 45-50h motor right from mxus warehouse in China, or you get from the flippers or rebranders. QS website is good, but be sure its the official site, many people steal pictures for their own sales website. Sellers have taken pictures from builders on es to post on their sales website, ripping off the OG dudes picture. Uncool.

Look for the stator or magnet width rather then random numbers the sellers give out, but its common for posters on es to say 1500w leaf, and not really specify its 35h. Just like it is for the XiCHang controllers to be stated as a Infineon (chip makers) controller because it has a Imfineon chip inside, but its really just a XiChang controller.

Well, the XC controllers use an XC chip (which is why they're XC controllers and not Infineon, because the old Infineon controllers used Infineon chips). ;)

Buuuut...both of those terms are often used generically to mean the common cheap trapezoidal controllers that sometimes have some minimal programmability via a computer-based setup program (but not always).

Yuma confirmed that this was thier direct Agent, I wanted to buy from Yuma Motors directly but they take time to reply.

I hope Its very good. Will update once I finish making the frame for it.

I make my own frames by the way. Like the one in my avator. I made that from scratch.

Now that you have a motor and you have a controller and you have decided at what amps you want to run the controller what battery are you going to make what voltage what cell how many in series and how many in parallel. I know there's a lot of lithium where you live but where do you get your batteries ?
That's very good that you build your own frames because of 200 mm rear is going to be custom.
What rim are you going to use for that motor
It has 45mm magnets and stator I guess.
I have a 45 mm mxus motor at 72v 40amp 142mm dropouts with 13/14ga. Spokes and great bike rim at 44mph. Oh rim brakes. A magic carpet Ride I love it.
This is because I live in the city and I couldn't ride a bike like yours here except for out in the desert or the mountains. I get away with riding mine on the city streets and bike paths. Plus I make it look homeless so no one steals it.

Thank you. Unfortunately, am based in Zambia and its very difficult to find new cells here. Am making contacts to be sourcing the cells. for now I have a well made battery from Laptop cells. I selected only low resistance, 2.2ah cells. This battery has been saving me since January 2023 with 80A BMS Using a 3000w Controller from a classic Bumble Bee scooter, using a 1000W motor. This combination is able to do 70KM speed. It has a very good pickup.

I have been covering 60KM of range since.

The 3000W motor I bought am making a bike, motorcycle type that will have 24" Motorcycle tires and rims with motor cycle disc brakes and Motorcycle front forks.

Hope this is going to be better made.
