In your app, the two current dials have different range which is a bit confusing (in my version though there are 2 current dials, the range is same in both), but one of the current dial is certainly phase current. I am wondering whether the range in the dials correspond to max current settings in motor config, i.e. motor current max, motor current max brake, battery current max & battery current max regen values
One way to be determine which current the dials correspond to is by riding slowly & comparing the values shown in dials & "I battery"; motor current would be higher than battery current in this scenario.

Thanks I have just found the text field ibattery so can now check that and will see which dial corresponds to what.
If the ibattery current shows it is hitting my 30amps then I take it I should be looking at upgrading my battery for one with higher amp bms to see any gains?
If it doesn't hit 30amps I take it I can then up the Motor phase amps in vesc til it does?

I'm not sure what the currents were at the time when I realised that it was underpowered on hills, but after tweeking my settings a bit it seems a bit better now.
I think my problem before may have been a mix of battery sag into an incorrectly programmed cutoff zone and maybe hitting my battery BMS limit too
At one point on a slight hill from standstill it just wouldn't pull away at all with my weight on it the power just died/faded on me and didn't feel right at all.
I need to find a small hill and test again whilst checking the currents in realtime now I have adjusted a few things
