Hey guys.

Hope everyone has had a good holiday and that the fat jolly man brought you all lovely e bike bits you wanted.

Searching through the forum I've struggled to really find any ideas for a charger. I've only really found the ones from luna reccomended and don't really want to order from them.

Battery to charge will be 14s5p 52v17ah GA cells.

Charger will be kept at work and will have 6-8 hours to charge. So doesn't have to be superfast.

Any ideas?

Maybe cheap one now and save for satiator, unless there is a blinding offer on a bees knees one.

Might look at grin, for a less expensive than satiator 14s charger. Many of the generic 48v chargers on ebay, or whatever will be set for 13s. So that makes it a bit of a problem to just pick up a very cheap 48v. The cheapest ones don't tend to be adjustable.

Meanwell HLG-600H-54A

There are lower power ones that are cheaper, the 600W means 11+ amps, fully charged under 90min

A for adjustable, ~57v is perfect for 14S

Waterproof, very reliable and robust, could even mount on the bike.

But, not a charger, either

keep any eye on it using an ammeter
put on a timer, or
rig a reliable HVC to terminate charging

ideally all three.

Or just spring for the Satiator.

I have a pile of the 240W versions, can be used separately or stacked together.

USD $45 each plus shipping at cost, PM me if interested.

And yes, universal world power compatible, 90 - 305Vac, 47 ~ 63Hz

just need to crimp/splice in the wire terminations / plugs you want.

Hey Hick,

I'm based in Manchester, I can supply chargers up to 3kW, what price were you looking at?

Hmm interesting idea. We have a bunch of adjustable power supplies at work. I'm sure I could get the lab to set me up something. [emoji848][emoji106]

Thanks dude.

No idea what should be paying for one, helpful I know. I guess like £50 for cheapey no frills, not going to blow up my battery.

What are satiators like £200?
