Hi guys, I was wondering what you thought about these 3 bikes. I'm going to pick one of them, just not sure which.

There might be other spec differences so if you can, check out the links

Evora Electric Explorer
- Cheapest (£499)
- Motor size: 200W
- Range 30-50km
- Battery 36V
- Not in specs but I read online that it's 6ah

Mozzi Zest (2015 model)
- Most expensive (£699)
- Motor size: 250W
- Range: 65km
- Battery 36V
- 10ah

- Moto size: 250W Range: 65km

I live in London, and I'm planning on getting the tube to zone 2 and then cycling from there to work, which is about a 20 minute ride, flat as far as I know
So which one is best? I would go with the cheapest one but I'm worried about it being 6ah, which is quite small isn't it?
With any of these bikes, if I want to purchase a new battery, do I HAVE to buy it from the manufacturer or can I buy these kinds of batteries elsewhere? Is it a standard battery?

At least some of these bikes are 6 speed. You may experience inability to pedal meaningfully at full speed, when the motor is engaged. Seven speed will get you to 12tooth freewheel at least, or even 11 with a DNP freewheel. That would be more satisfying from a cycling perspective.

Of the three, I would pick last year's Mozzi. But that's not a recommendation. In all honesty, I wouldn't pick any of them. A quality folding bike costs more than those bikes do, and a quality battery can cost as much as those bikes do. You can't get quality for dirt cheap. Ever tried discount toilet paper? It may seem like a good deal at the time, but you quickly find out it's just a pain in the arse.

The range claims on those bikes should be dismissed. a 36v 9AH battery at 15mph is probably good for 15-20 miles of reliable range. pedal hard and have a good tail wind, you might get 40 miles before it dies, maybe, but don't rely on that.

Any particular reason why you'd pick last year's Mozzi over the Elise Electric Explorer? Is it the battery? To be honest, if I had 20 miles, that'd be more than enough for what I need for a commute. I suppose it is says 40, then it will certainly achieve 20, whereas if I found a bike that said 20 then maybe I'd get less than 20...

I can't really afford to spend any more, and I figured because I'm using it for a relatively short distance I'd be okay cheaping out

Several reasons.
1st, Its through Ebay, which if combined with paypal gives you a certain level off buyer's protection you wouldn't have with the other vendor. They also offer demo rides, if you're in their area, per the description.
2nd, the battery size.
3rd, the motor size.
4th, Also, I don't like the look of the hinge and latch of the Elise. I's a piece of safety equipment, and your life depends on that part. It might be fine, but I'm a former rock climber. I got used to my life depending on my equipment. I never climbed with a piece of equipment I didn't have total confidence in. But this is all just an opinion.

Isn't the Mozzi the same kind of hinge/latch?
