If my damn internet would.come unstuck I could look up exactly what this was, but there really was a vaccine disaster, maybe in the 50's. Kids were born without arms and legs, etc. And that is one example of where all the abundance of caution comes from.

If you know the actress Gene Tierney, she had a child with problems, they assumed she had been exposed to German Measles while pregnant. She told a story that may or may not have been true of a woman telling her she snuck off the military base during a quarantine for, you guessed it, and attended her play and met her afterward. See,, I doubt the woman who's have been saying that decades later. But it reminds you of how people want to believe the unknown is avoidable. But she wouldn't really know what caused her child's problems.

Don't exactly know what the frock is going on here but, as I understand it, the Covid-19 illness emerged in very late 2019. A vaccine could not have been invented in January 2020. But, accepting that "the FDA held up it's approval". Yeah? What else is new? 250K dead? You mean 300K dead. How many dead from HIV before a vaccine was found? Do they even have an HIV vaccine? Pfizer didn't do a single thing to "invent" the vaccine except ... well nothing that I can see. The biotech heavy lifting was done by a post-grad and his wife, fresh out of University. Bloody hell. Talk about beginners luck. And the other team in 2nd place. Their only claim to fame is toiling for 10 years on a different vaccine that is still in development. Y'all's, this thing stinks to high heaven. If you're going to go all conspiracist in this thread, at least have the cojones to get real and wonder about the timeline. Not a ridiculous "January 2020 rollout" but even the present rollout underway supposedly at the end of a proper Phase 3 trial. Erm ... I don't think so. The Phase 3 trial is what is underway right now. On it's face there is nothing wrong with that. But the secrecy. After all that's happened they are still treating us like mushrooms. 300K and counting dead because of misinformation and LIES and still they continue with the same script. Gotta love it. Not.

The frotters can't even steer the Flu virus from strain to strain reliably and Covid-19 had just been identified and you believe that despite never having had any success with SARS or MERS or Covid Type 1 that just because it was important this time (like it wasn't before). i remember that a vaccine was invented very fast, 2 days after the genome sounds about right. at the time they said it would be a few years before it would get approved. so 11 months is really fast, but look how much damage has been done....so far.
did the FDA protect US citizens?
FACT no 90+ were tested in the trials.
FACT- the 1st approved vaccine was given to a 90 year old. There is no evidence that it is safe for 90+.
So the same experiments are now taking place that could of been done in March-April. And bynow we would know if it is safe for 90+

Matt, you can't even get a 1st Class letter delivered in two days anymore. About the only thing that you might expect to take only two days is a bowel movement on the typical American low fiber diet. Anything else takes MUCH longer. It was expected to take one full year for vaccine development and Phase 1, 2 & 3 trials. And one year was a BS guesstimate since the existing RECORD for a vaccine project was four years. I'm not sure why you are throwing the FDA under the bus. They have completely abdicated their role in ensuring this vaccine is safe AND EFFECTIVE. The FDA has not 'held up' anything. And let's be clear. I'm not sure how EFFECTIVE a Covid vaccine really needs to be when 80% of the people that are going to take it ALREADY have all the immunity they need! I am not impressed that in one P3 trial that 234 people in the vaccine group got Covid. NONE should have gotten Covid. No one is taking into account that none of the P3 cohort were GIVEN the virus. It was on them to 'get it' on their own. Not for any lack of trying 'only' a few million people out of 352M seem to have managed it. 'Only' 300K have died. That's without any vaccine. That will barely change after the roll-out. It will be years till things stabilize but the economy will improve almost immediately because people will be bolstered emotionally by the TALISMAN afforded by the vaccine.

That's why they are doing this. To get you, and Markz and all the other terrified germphobes who won't go to work, or to restaurants, or to movies, or on airplanes ... it is to make you cowards FEEL SAFE enough to go 'back to normal'. Even if things will never be back to normal. Have you noticed that no journalists are even allowed to ask if the vaccine confers permanent immunity? Does anyone even know? In fact, they don't even know if the vaccine keeps you from spreading the virus. I'm not a biologist but I would EXPECT that if a vaccine worked ... IF A VACCINE WAS ACTUALLY EFFECTIVE, it would in fact, make the vaccinated person safe to be around. You could not possibly be safe from illness yet be carrying so much viral load that you were transmissive.

But they won't give vaccinated people the all clear. You still have to mask and social distance ANYWAY after being vaccinated. What the frock! Does no one see what the game is here? No one who knows anything about it has any confidence in this vaccine. People will stay safe from Covid like they have been doing for the last year: by avoiding contact with infected people. This round of vaccine is on the house. Well, not really. $24B changed hands to make 'free' vaccine possible. Next year you will be paying retail. Insurance, may or may not want to get involved. All depends on the Supreme court ruling on ACA. We're not hearing much from them on that.

and of course you are right about being immune if it actually works, you can't get it or transmit it because your immune system got a "heads up" on what to look for and new contacts of covid get instantly killed.

Mr.Gruber, you're playing fast and loose with interpretations. Pfizer is using something existing that they'd never found a use for before. Plain and simple, they need the final cut, not a rough cut. Getting it to a form they can use can be quite a job, they've been able to grow human teeth in petri dishes for decades, growing them in your head remains elusive.

Great story on '60 Minutes,' among other things it shows your version is closer to being right than Lame Storm was. I think the woman I mentioned was one of the researchers shown.

Back in the 80's 60 Min would do numerous shows about the US. For example, I worked 2 days for LLoyd Carr and quit because they were sleezy IMO. A month later CBS exposed them, and they got shut down 8)
So with all the great law cases by IJ, they would have numerous great shows about the US. EXCEPT now it appears 60 Min has been compromised They can't get much approved here by CBS due to potential complains from advertisers. (many misleading ads pay the bills)
