Could someone who actually runs one of these, post the width of this battery please.

What frame size is optimal for snug fitting in the frame?

Also, If you have the optional frame bag that goes with it, is it a good fit in the bag, and does it look good i.e. not lots of bulges?

I don't know, but FWIW, it's quite easy to pedal around 5 inches wide including the bag or box, with no particular modifications besides perhaps a longer than some set of pedals. BMX pedals run a half inch or so longer than most. No need for extra wide bb for a 5" wide battery.

According to battery space website, a 26650 cell is 2.6 inches wide, or about 65 mm. So the triangle pack should be quite narrow if it's one cell wide, and still tolerable if it's two cells wide.

I was curious about this too, and also the weight since I didn't see either listed on the product page.

It is a shame Paul doesn't show more info on his website, as I'm sure it would help minimize the tons of e-mail questions he has to answer.
Basic weight and dimensions knowledge was a priority for me, before I went ahead with my build.
Maybe we could help out by having a sticky of all of Paul's products. Then member's could post actual figures of each one, and Paul could use this info to post on his website and save time.

The problems of being a one man army :p

I'll see if i can go measure the width of mine on my lunch. I can tell you that is thin enough that i don't really notice it while riding. The bag cell_man sells is really good also. See picture here for the rest of the sizes http://www.emissions-free.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/16S5Ptrianglepack_dims.JPG

Thanks el_walto, don't suppose you weighed the pack before you fitted it?

And, are there any cable exit/entry points in the bag?

Here is someone elses review of the bag. http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=29211

I've got my current Ping 48v 15Ah already fitted in a FalconEv bag. Didn't realise Paul sold the same bag.
Superb quality frame bag :D

Battery is 71mm wide.

I could check weight with bathroom scale when i get home, but not sure how accurate that will be. Kitchen scales only go up to 10lb and it's probably more like 12lb.

That's what I was thinking, one cell wide. So not over 3 inches. Easy for even the knock knee people to pedal around it.

Thanks for all the info on the battery. Does Paul include a charger with it too, or do you have to buy one separately?

Here is the info I received from Paul/cell_man, and a diagram of the 12s5p (36v) triangle pack I ordered. I've seen this question asked many times, so both the doc and the image are public on gooledocs if somebody wanted to sticky the link or whatever.

and this post has a sketchup of the 12s5p pack (cells only-no bms/wrapping) inside a Genesis frame to give you an idea of relative size.
