Hi there,
I'm currently workng on my new project :)
I need to wire my Wuxing 52DX throttle. I have 4 wires:
red: +5V
black: ground
green: signal
Yellow: battery level (should be 48V)
My question is the following. Do I have to put directly (!) the 48V positiv into this little wire. I do understand that this wire should sense the voltage but i was wondering if it was a "special" 48V maybe secured after a fuse or actually not a 48V but something else ^^.
Thanks for the infos!

I don't think there is anything special going on, no fuse or such since the throttle doesn't do anything that draws any amps. These kind of throttles are a hazard though, since water getting inside can short the 48v to the other wires. This tells your controller to go full throttle, and only unplugging the controller or the throttle will stop it.

do you really need that battery indicator? If you are riding in the wet, I'd cut that 48v wire at the controller for sure. A similar indicator could be rigged, but not as part of the throttle. One way would be to buy a new throttle with three wires, and locate the original one somewere else with just the indicator functional.

Thanks ( a lot!) for the infos!
I wanted to test if it was somehow accurate with my headways. mmm I think I won't plug it. Safer is safer

What dogman said happened to mine bike during a heavy rain. I was lucky that the throttle was wired to cut off the power with the brakes on.
