Yamaha GTS 1000 -260/35-21/240/40-18

Changed to straight handle bar. It will be shorten, when everything works fine.
Got also the around 130kW controller.

Fixed it now on the main frame via two M10x60 screws.
Maybe I will shorten the rear wheel position (-4“, -10cm)

Not to much news.
Seat is ready but the rear swingarm looks horrible regarding the line from mainframe to rear wheel.
Maybe there will come a new swingarm.

Change my decision regarding 240/40-18“ wheel in the front. To much things to change.
I will go now with 3,5x18 rear rim from Honda VFR 400.
But it’s 33mm out of middle. So we will build a new rim.
And I already ordered a Mickey Thomson wheel (2.5/2.75-18“) for the 3.5“ rim 😀

Build own front wheel because off wheel offset
Ex-VFR rim 3.5-18 with an own copy of rear rim design
and fitted now with Micky Thomson tyre 2.5/2.75-18.
It has the same outside diameter then a 120/70-17 tyre

Interesting project, one question tho, with the handlebar mounter where it is will it not be absolutely horrible to ride or even dangerous ? Your hands will be directly connected to the front wheel with zero suspension in between which also means your hands will move up and down with the wheel. I guess that considering your application it will be used on smooth, flat surfaces and will have a very small amount of travel but still.

Yes you are right but I also drove 118kph with my bicycle without any dampers on military airport field with concrete plats and this tyre was very small and hard. To be honest this will not be a bike for long distances 😉
