Here's my wife's bike that is basically done. I would call this Version 0.9.

Everything was powdercoated to match (Rims, frame, Yuba breadbasket, rear rack, handlebars)
Rear disc bungs were welded as well has mounting points for the Yuba basket)
Battery box modified to accept 12S2P of Turnigys 20C (10Ah) with Method's kit
Changed from front to a rear motor MAC 7T
Lyen 12FET controller
Replaced everything from crank/BB to headset and fork. Only the frame is original.

1.0 will be within a couple of weeks and will include a repair of the battery mounting fascia and a repaint of the box etc.
1.1 will include a new lighting and auxiliary power circuits
1.2 will include a new Thudbuster and Panniers
1.3 will include RFID keyless based on JeremyHarris' mod

Really nice work. The front forks on mine have always struck me as a bit ugly. You've convinced me to upgrade. Love your photos mate.

And some hot motor for breakfast

Batteries are 10ah 15C Turnigy lipo, right now only 30s (130ish v?) but when my two replacement batteries arrive I'll be back at 150v sweetness. Motor controller is set for 100 amps. This is my commuter to work and will happily maintain 85 kph. For a little while anyway.. I really need to hook up my motor thermistor to a display. The motor is too small to handle the heat very well, but is also lighter than a Crystallite or other beast of a motor. So far proven to be very reliable! I still want to do some work with the battery box, battery monitoring, and some better headlights/turnsignals/brake lights. After that I guess it's not too far off from needing a license plate :D

Here is the "Before" shot of my bike. It is a Cheapo Walmart Genesis v2900 29er:

I am going for a somewhat stealthy look so hopefully other than the rear rack, it will look almost the same:

Still gotta convert the front to disc brakes and then paint it but it is essentially done. Its nothing special but its mine, so I like it :D

It"s slowly getting there. I need a nice car-like shifter on that frame tube, and few other things.

Hey

Bike still is a work in progress, eventually need to put a hydraulic brake in the back, fatter tire in front, and make a proper fibreglass casing for the batteries. Aside from that im open to suggestions.

I picked this up in trade with no battery or charger

Got new Headway cells locally. Weight is too high.

Making a new battery rack. Look how much lower the weight will be. Can't hurt.

Almost done with the rear battery rack mock up. A few more things to tidy up and skin it.

Hello everone,
I finally figured out how to put pictures on endless-sphere so here are some before and after pictures of my bamboo semi recumbent ebike.
It start out as as a huffy mountain bike that I put a heinzmann 24v brushed hub motor set up and a "china girl" ICE kit on.
13dce59c-df36-4e2d-a41a-20b38571ed5d_zps865b0ca7.jpg

When I used the electric and ICE together off of a red light, I could keep ahead of trafic no problem up to 30mph. Was fun for 2 years until the engine blew out. The heinzmann died shortly after.

Old injuries to my neck and lower back started to become more of a problem for me( two car accidents I was in years ago) and it became apparent I would not be able to ride a standard geometry bicycle anymore. So I cut up the huffy, made a jig out of scrap wood, got some bammboo, hemp fiber and some epoxy and made my Bambooster.
This is it early last year. Still rough and before I made the bamboo fork or remade the bamboo handlebars. Seat is still exposed wood.

Here's how it looks today.

It's a Kepler/Adrian style drive, the reason for calling it "Bambooster". It is running on a 6374 rewound to 10 turns with high temp. with 16 gauge magnet wire and fitted with internal hall sensors at 120 deg (had to file a little bit of the stator back to squeeze them in to the slots). its engaged by cable and the old clutch lever from the dead ICE kit. A duel brake pull lever takes care of front and back brakes.

29er Steel Frame, Upgarded Rock Shox, EM3ev 10t 48v , 3077 fet, Samsung 18.5 ah NCM triangle battery. Topeak rack, bag and fenders.

Here is my specialized tricross elite disc that I wanted to make a little faster for my 35km commute to work. It has a bafang swxh running on 16S lipo. I'm using the CA V3 with a thun torque sensor and it really makes the bike feel normal (just alot faster). It is an awesome commuter putting average speed anywhere from 32-40kph depending on how much of a hurry I'm in vs. 27kph before modifications. :) Just have to clean the wiring up some now.View attachment 3IMAG0394.jpgView attachment 1IMAG0392.jpg

A couple of recent conversions. Both Ezee fronts to handle long tours, and swappable lipo bottles for range.

Haven't seen an e-tandem before, so was glad I got to build one up. 8)
