smart bms settings

Hi all,i have a battery with a smart bms,it uses the xioaxiang app 2.1.1011 ver
on the paramerters screen there is an option for open or closed balanced,what does that mean and how should it be set?Tia.

It should be open if you want your BMS to balance the pack.

It relates to the voltage of the cells.
Set to open if you want the BMS to balance the cells. Set to close if you don’t want the BMS to balance the cells.

can no body list what all the settings of the app are for and what they do? im using xiaoxiang:v2.1.1011,it would be be cool if someone can explaine all the wierd settings,ie what they do.

If you've got no clue it might be better to leave the settings be.

there is but gives answers in chinese,my mandarin is not too hot! lol.

I'm pretty sure if you scroll down there is also a English translation. You may need the newer app, I'm sure you saw it in that other thread.

Jbd smart bms heads up

Just a warning to folks,i brought this jdb smart bms that can be wired fror a 10s too 17s pack,i ordered one suitable for 13s,the instructions to wire it that came were chineese gibberish,they mailed me a diagram of the wireing for 13s ,i also brought an lcd screen for it to display the cell soc...

I've no access to the app nor have I used a smart BMS but on reading this thread I'm wondering if it might just mean ON or OFF?
