Looking for estimate of power needed for 36V scooter

I am testing three 36v scooter batteries by
draining them at about 3.5-3.2 amps through a space heater.
The BMS is shutting it down when the voltage gets about 35V
which happens at 60 minutes, 70 minutes and 90 minutes.
Does anybody know how many amps a fairly level 8-10 mph
light weight rider with a 450 Watt motor might be using?
Scooter is Hover-1 Alpha Pro.

If your BMS is cutting out at 35v with a 36v battery, then something is wrong with the BMS.
 
450W is 12.5A at 36V - so that's what you need the battery to provide, very probably more for short periods. If it's struggling to put out <4A that's definitely an issue.

Well, the heater coil is about 12 or 13 ohms, so 3.5 amps is all it is asking for.
 
If your BMS is cutting out at 35v with a 36v battery, then something is wrong with the BMS.
One of them I put a new Daly 20A BMS in and it also cuts out at about 35V.

That sounds like an appropriate cutout for a 48v nominal pack. or 48v nominal pack that goes down to 2.5v per cell ( 2.5 x 14 = 35v )

A 36v BMS should cut out at 30v for cells with a low voltage of 3.0v and 25v for a cell with a low voltage of 2.5v
 
The Daly BMS is a 36V for my 10s3p battery. The battery pack gets just barely noticably warm to the touch after charging for a while. The Daly spec sheet says discharge temperature protection is between 104 F and 158 F (whatever that means) so maybe too warm? The BMS has one short temp sensor on it.
 
Measure each cell group voltage. A couple of cell groups may be bad, so the BMS is tripping because they're going below the voltage cutoff. Battery shouldn't be warm.

Yeah, I suppose just guessing won't get me anywhere. I'll try to run it to shutdown on the scooter this week and cut it back open and see what's what.

edit - On second thought, since I am using sh*t chi*ese batteries, I will just live with it and carry a spare battery.
Anybody had any luck improvising a basket for these scooters?
edit 2 - never mind. Google has lots of pictures of ideas.

At 8-10 mph, I get 6-8 WH/mile on on a ebike. It's hard to pedal that slow. The motor does most ofthe work, so I am going to estimate your scooter will burn 10 WH/mile ar 10 mph.

Your smallest battery lasted 1 hour with a 3.3 amp load, so that means it's a 3.3AH battery. Multiply that by 40V to make it a 120WH battery. Your range should be 12 miles. or about an hour.

Did you previously remove the protective wrap from one or all of the three batteries for checking BMS, cells, etc after posting your similar ES thread back in April? With AI your similar thread should've been posted below... "Similar threads"

Is it possible that one or all three batteries are cheap Chinese (AliExpress?) packs of questionable quality? Sometimes that's about the only option for a generic scooter battery ... but reliable quality for hundreds of useful cycles is doubtful.

I removed the wrap from one of them and replaced one 3 cell group which was lagging. That's the one with the new BMS.
Yes, two of them are cheap Chinese batteries and one is probably original to the scooter.
I will try to familiarize myself more with the forum so I am posting correctly.
