Tabless design cylindrical cells tests

Yea, still have something interesing. From Energy storages LFP / NMC modules to 21700 cells, just offering bulk mostly :D

In few days will have bigger batch of 6600mAh /50A 21700 cells with 3,1mOhm. Stay tuned :)

Do you have the datasheet for the 65P model ? Also, don't they have a website ? I can only find dodgy Alibaba listings about their cells

Linkdata 65P is a monster! I didn't expect that results. o_O It was like reading a technical data sheet that says a 21700 cell with a capacity of 6.5 Ah can deliver a current of 50 A—you just think to yourself, “Sure, whatever…” And then the Linkdata 65P comes along and just says, “Hold my beer!”

Here is my preliminary report for the Linkdata 65P.
Under my testing the cell was able to finish a only 30A CC. Also at 100A test the cell trigger the CID before reaching 80 degrees C at the thermocouple sensor. Still at claimed 52A the voltage drop is very decent.

This cell can deliver more than the advertised capacity Ah at 30A discharging rate.

At 1.3A or 0.2C can deliver 6630mAh out of 6500mah claimed.
This is possibly the best 6ah - 6.5ah cell available tested.

I´m really wondering who is producing those Linkdata cells? Can find only really old news about the company, no website or whatsoever and suddenly they seem to have one of the best 21700 cells out there?
Does anyone have any more information?
 
I'd also be curious to know more about this company, releasing a SOTA cell when the BAK 65E and Molicel-Tenpower M65A are quite impressive in terms of energy and power already.

There was a relevant article here back in 2022, mentioning their 26mm and 46mm cells and an 8-minute charging capability announced as far back in 2020. Details are quite thin on what they produce or assemble internally.

I been working this website to share cell results and compare cells in different current levels. Also people can see my equipment life while testing as we speak.

I am rebuilding all my database with fresh testing so I am working adding more cells on the database.

I need opinion and suggestions.

Not sure why but the site stutters while scrolling on my PC, doesn't scroll smoothly.
 
Opposite for me, just tried it in Chrome and it's smooth, Firefox is not. Also tried it in Opera and it's smooth. :unsure:

Just took a quick look, I think it is to much graphics to be usefull.

Not sure what others have as use case, but my use case would be to find the best battery possiblef or my instance.

I would like to sort them all by capacity, rated. Or current output rated and so on.

Right now I get a very large "card" for each battery that is also sorted by brand type, so I need to go over all the brands before I can see what is the most capacity per cell, why?

Just some suggestions, but at the end it is your site and you have some audiency intended for this, but for me sadly it does not create the value it could.
 
The video was indeed helpful.

I love being able to put what cells I want to see, and compare their voltage curves both the initial sag, and where they cross the 3.0v line, and being able to zoom in, and see the numbers and toggle cells on and off. Very useful, and very interesting.

I am well aware that tiny differences in performance likely cannot be felt, but I love seeing the minute details how cells perform when new, and how they compare to other cells with all other factors being equal.

The line below 3v is useful for me only as it shows how nominal capacity is almost a useless figure, and trying to compare cells by their nominal ratings is a fool's errand.

On the live page, on the 'live trend' window being able to zoom out and see the whole of the charge and discharge as it is happening would be much more interesting than being so closely zoomed in.
I like seeing what the last test was and the AH/WH delivered, and max temperature, and it would be cool to see what the next test will be. Like right now you are charging the P42A at 1C, and the last test it delivered 3.89Ah at 25 amps and got to 75.87C doing so, but will the next test be 30 amps, or 20 amps?

Also if room temperature is 25C, was the cell also 25C when discharge began, or 26.1C with some residual heat from charging left over?

Viewers might not know about the 600 second rest after charging, or discharging, before current is allowed to flow again.

If in the rest period, a countdown to next charge/ discharge would be neat to see.

I'd probably have the fan running during charging as well, but I can see why you do not do so as the cell has those 600 seconds to return towards room temperature, but if the cell has not returned to room temperature then there is some 'not equal' factors mixed in which might muddy the results.

It would also be neat in the future if you could retest a used cell, and be able to compare the line charts a cycle 3 vs cycle 250, or even just a '6 months of use/ number of cycles/ and depth of those cycles unknown'
