Hello all,
I am setting up a Master and Slave dual 1000w hub motor, using two KT controllers, one display, one throttle. I already know the wiring, my question is about the programming of the KT controllers and what parameters should be set. Ebike is a Luckeep M5 ultra. Stock master controller is no good (my fault), hence the need for new controllers. This may be an open ended question, just let me know what info you need and i will try to provide.

The KT controllers I use are not programable. The displays have a number of settings. but there is very little flexibility, The current per PAS level is already set in the firmware. You have a C5 parameter which allow global setting of the controller current. For example if the max current is 20A, you can reduce it between 10% and 50%. You aren't adjusting individual current levels for each PAS level,

Honestly for me the global current limit has never worked

They are so popular, because you can simply set them up with the display, and don't have to use a PC program or a BT app on your phone.
But you are right, this controllers are from a different age. There are much better alternatives these days.

There is no support for a "Master/Slave" configuration with two normal single motor controllers, as far as I know. There was a quite similar thread here already. Kunteng offers ready to use dual motor controllers:

What is your question exactly? There are tons of manuals for the Kunteng display settings.

Do you have a display that shows watts, which I presume is figured from battery current? I can see the corresponding drop in power in the levels when I lower the current on my LCD3's. I've used this for years to set about 100-120 watts in PAS 1 with different size hub motors and voltages,

I like KT controllers for my low power applications, For my only dual motor build, I used two separate (and different brand) controller/displays. The single throttle for two KT controllers would be simple enough, as would be a single PAS sensor. For a single display, I would try running the TX lead to both units and only one RX lead back?

I would try running the TX lead to both units and only one RX lead back?
This would only work for two identical motors with exactly the same display settings. If the motors have a different number of pole pairs, they would cut the power at different speeds for example.
The Kunteng protocol transmits the whole display settings with each UART message, they are sending, so you can't set up the one controller differently to the other, if they get the same display input.
