    Beijing Summer

I lived in China for almost 8 years 20 years ago, loved it, biking in any city can be a workout as cars do not share the road well. If you take care and have a good bike you will do well. Good luck.

Tire pressure! At what psi are you cruising?

I use same tire 2.5" hookworm great tire 8,000 miles on them. I use a 29" rim and use 50 psi check about ever 3 months add air maybe every 6 mo. Use a thorn tube and use a tire seal inside tube also. Good ride and energy saving PSI.

My 29" mt bike with 1000w 20amp 48 volt will make about 40 miles on a full battery. This is at 14-15mph any faster will drop that range and lower to 10mph will get me a lot more. My bike is 4 years old and this motor / battery has done 7,000+ miles and shows no sign of drop off. Most miles on...

Newby retiree needs a boost on his 29er in the Tropics.

I was in Japan 3 years + ago, hilly area and picked up a 29", I added a 1000w hub motor and 20amp 48 volt battery with a good controller and Cycle Annalist, it all works great, however on steep hills it will require some pedal power. Help a Newbie Build or Buy His First Ebike. UPDATED..

For $1400 if you have a bike and luck you might get 40 miles at 15mph. A 30-40AH battery and a 29" bike with 2-3,000 watts might do it. 30MPH is normally motorcycle speed. I am 250 lbs and can ride 20-25mph for 15-20 miles on 29", DD rear, 20AH and have about $1400 invested. Good luck in your build.
