    Liquid cooling hub motor maybe not so difficult!!!

    My idea is to take thin ring bearings with 30 mm bore and use a axle made of 25CrMo4 tubing. This would give a hole of 26 mm dia. normal bearings are 42mm * 20mm . Thin ring is 61806 (type) 42mm * 30mm.

    In Basse-Ham they messured the noise of these paramoteurs. It was only 54 db/A. The whole airfield was louder!!! These motors revs only about 2000 rpm. This is ideal for a small light bike. I´m sure that`s the future.

    This ist the right use for this motors. In Germany this motors are sell mostly for velomobile and recumbents (500W,24V/36V) and work fine. But 900W or more is to much. :)

    That´s an very interresting test. No motor reach the promises of the manufacturers. The motors have max. 78 % which is around 85% max on the motor. If the motor warms up it should be perhaps 80%.

    Hi Etard, They have it in stock. I don´t know which weight it have and how about tax if shipping. Shipping my NuVinci hub was about 100$. I think it will cheaper to get one in USA, if possible.

    This is the reason why I like this system. The whole motor+gear weights about 4 KG. You can attach the rear hub you want. OK, this bike is no rocket, but the system itself is very nice.

    In Europe you can legal only drive bikes about 250 W. This bike have 1200 W "peak". :( It looks a little bit like the Optibike, which has 850 W "peak". Ok, the costs of these bikes will be to high for the fun you get. So I will further work on my own bike. :mrgreen:
