3 speed PAS without lcd display?

Hello good people
quick question!
I want to remove my lcd display as it takes much space on my handles.
i really like the 3 speed PAS.
can i purchase a 3 speed switch, connect it to controller’s 3 speed wires, and use it for the PAS?
Or is it intended for the throttle and will automatically change the speed of my throttle instead of the PAS?
My controller is some chinese type.. company called BC Controllers (black box)

For the use of a three speed switch, the controller has to support that kind of switch. The old EB306 controller had this option. They are still sold in some places, but are outdated. There are lean displays available, that don't need more space on the handlebar than a 3 speed switch.

But of course, you have to make sure that the display is compatible to your controller.

If your controller has a LCD display, then it needs digital commands from the display to set the PAS level. It probably won't have the connectors for a 3 speed switch.

Can’t find any info on the controller. Did you buy it locally?

You could add an accessory bar to make additional room for your display or other accessories.
