That might be almost true. In fact it would be true if you never use it.

Somebody also told me that when you buy a Chinese product in USA at a USA inflated price, the quality doesn't improve with the price.

Thanks for your efforts in testing. I hope you get thousands of happy miles from it. Keep us updated.

Glad you were able to get the the throttle up and running, would the "throttle tamer" (which I have briefly read about) http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=51460&start=50 help to even things out?? maybe the experts can chime in on this.

I've given Zombiess "throttle tamer" a good deal of thought, but first I have to try out the new S12S controller I got for a PAS setup for my trike. It may have enough "tuneability" to get the throttle under better control. If not I will order a "throttle tamer", since Zombiess gives examples of using it for lower power (36 V)

If they made that themselves, it would surely be way too expensive considering the quantities they could sell. The main parts are injection moulded, which requires a big investment in tooling. It must be a standard part for a mass-produced item somewhere else. They probably saw it at a trade fair somewhere on a the stand of a company that makes throttles, and ordered some. The "made in USA" bit would be sticking their decal on it.

Looks like they molded their RK logo into it, so at least that piece of it is molded for them (or else they deliberately found some part already molded with a logo they liked and appropriated it for their own use Not all that likely).

So they probably did pay for hte tooling and injection molding---but I doubt it was done in the USA.

Is the logo moulded or on a decal. It's not clear in the photo. I took it as a decal because it's silver, and the moulding is black.
