Excellent company with a very high reputation...we are trying to talk them into making brushless controllers for the Puma at the moment
Conversion rates might make them expensive for you guys buying with dollars though..

Jozzer,

Since you know them. How about talking them into a large brushless controller. Something along the lines of 150 volts and 1000 amps?

Lol, there first question will be "how many did you want?". IF they do the controller at all (they have not made any brushless trollers ever to the best of my knowledge), it will be because of potentially large markets. The puma should get many sales soon in handcycle based units..

They have many failsafes built in for reliable long time use (and misuse).

If they could make a brushless one based onto that mantra, at a reasonable price, they could easily supplant the Crystalyte controllers for most ebike users. I know that at least the ebikes.ca folks would quickly eschew the clyte units for more rugged ones. I can't say about the other online shops, since they aren't as concerned about the quality of what leaves their doors, but I'd like to think they would.

I've got a lot of respect for 4qd as well and I use one of their smaller controllers on my ebike. I got the same response from them though when I asked about higher voltage models. They know there is demand but seem reluctant to make any sudden move. Maybe this company would be interested Steve: http://www.adequate-energy.co.za/Controller.htm I bought a DC converter from them awhile ago. It was tiny and worked very well, until I hooked it up the wrong way round, that is.
