Dear all,

My bike has a 5 wires/2 plugs throttle installed but I want to up rate the controller with an ecrazyman controller which only has a three wires/1 plug throttle connector. What should I do? Is my only choice changing the throttle as well?

Thank you very much.

It's likely that the other two wires are for the pack voltage monitoring, to give you a battery low light or "fuel gauge". If that's all they are, then you can just leave those disconnected (or build your own wire for those two, from the battery + and - on the controller).

The connectors are probably different, so you might have to splice the connector off your old controller onto the new one's throttle output, so it'll still match the existing throttle connector. Dunno if the wire colors will be the same; you'll need to check that first (before taking the existing controller off, measure all the voltages you get there, both at zero throttle and at partial or full throttle. The one that varies should be your throttle output, the others will be ground and power (5v usually).

Thank you very much for your help. Let me try it out.
