A123 20Ah pouch price check

Apologies, just realized that where I originally asked this may not have been the right place for it.

A two-pack A123 16S1P 52.8V 20Ah custom setup from Cell Man for ~$750 plus shipping (SAL ~100) - a good deal? By a two-pack I mean the whole battery split into 2 parts for hanging on the bike (it's still a 16S1P setup, looks like a 8S x2).

It includes a 40A BMS, and I will be using the charger I bought from him previously.

yea so it just depends on how much effort you want to put into building and supporting something on your own.

you minus the bms that breaks down to like 41 a cell for proven lifepo4 that you know is what it's supposed to be.

or you could buy a bunch of cells for maybe 1/2 the price , but it's all on you at that point.

Seems like to me that cell_man's dropped his price on those some , but dont quote me on that just by eyeballing.

It's a price I'd pay if I had the money. But since I'm still a bit sick and working less, I don't. I ended up rigging a 15 ah ping paralell with 15 ah of 14s lipo instead.

But I'm still jonesing bad for a spilit A123 48v pack for the longtail. It's a PITA to mangage that dual chemisty rig.

Yes, a great deal less than a quote I got about 6-8 weeks ago from Cell-man. If I had gotten your price I would not have purchased the untested Victpower 16S 20AH pack that, according to tracking, will be at my door today.

Old news that was the 80's I was late to the game but old news. I go for the lithium baby high c-rate big pouch no short cheese grater tabs. I will find the duds. So better be right. Wouldn't want to give you the shaft.

I got this exact battery from cell_man..split pack 16s....and its amazing!..the power beats my old ebay lifepo4 48v 20ah battery hands down.

Also, the whole pack is super light (16-18lbs?) compared to the block i had before which weighed about 26lbs. I have the pack on both sides of my frame.

I am happy with this pack ..i bet you would too!
