started playing with it and with the energy selector on high and 90 to 95 volts DC it spot welds 0.1mm copper to the neg end of the cell
when you pull off the copper it leaves a little nugget on the cell and a nice little round hole in the copper sheet
its not really a spot welder though, you dont get 2 probes
wound up grounding the negative to the shell of the battery, you dont get 2 spot welding probes, only 1
then i laid the copper on the end and the positive probe
step on the pedal and its spot welded
turned it up to 100 volts and wound up blowing a hole through the bottom of the cell and i think i blew the voltage potentiometer
the part number i got is rv4naysd105a c2 ku051s28 1mes
according to this data sheet
rv4 is means military style
n=standard bushing
a=without switch
y=as per mil-r-94
s=slotted shaft
d= shaft diameter 7/8
10= ohms
5= number of zeros after 10 ohms (a million ohms is 1 megaohm
a= linear taper, 10% tolerance
