Hey everyone,

I’m fighting some weird gremlins with my Adaptto Max-e controller and could really use your expertise.

The Symptoms: The bike runs perfectly fine for days, but randomly, after some ride and when it stays off some time (but not always), it just refuses to turn on (the display stays completely dead)

The Temporary Fix: If I open up the controller and disconnect, then reconnect the 16-pin ribbon cable (Micro-Match) that connects the logic board to the power stage, the controller instantly wakes up, resets, and works flawlessly again.

My Suspects:

1. The Ribbon Cable: As you can see in the attached pictures, the ribbon cable looks pretty chewed up and heavily creased. I suspect there might be a micro-break inside one of the wires that temporarily reconnects when I pull and reseat the connector. (I will test/replace it ASAP).
2. Capacitors (Morning Sickness): Could it be that some of the small caps on the logic board or the DC-DC converter are degrading and have high ESR when the board gets completely cold overnight? The large phase capacitors on the power board look fine and are still nicely potted in the factory silicone.

Has anyone experienced this specific behavior with Adaptto? Does this sound like a purely mechanical issue with the creased cable, or do these symptoms scream "dying logic caps" to you?

Any input or suggestions on what to check next would be greatly appreciated!
