Gents,

I'm looking to purchase some professional battery pack manufacturing and test equipment and would appreciate any suggestions you may have. I live in China so it would be easier and maybe a bit cheaper to source locally if possible.

I've found the following company that manufactures spot welders and also some test equipment:

http://kia-ind-weld.en.alibaba.com/product/203840835-200083663/Battery_Computer_Testing_System_Meter.html#productDetailpageLocation

If anyone has any experience of this company please let me know.

Thanks

Please, someone must have an opinion

I'm likely going to go with the Spot welder. It is quite reasonably priced at about 1000USD.

However, I'm still not so sure what to go with for the battery analysis and discharger tools. Any advise would be great :)

Cheers

What batteries are you looking at welding? if it's A123 I believe there is a specific type of welder required and anything else could destroy your cells. I think the Miyachi DC-25 was the recommended welding control, but that sure isn't cheap! I think it needs to be a 4000 amp double-pulse inverter welder, but if your not welding A123's I don't really know......perhaps someone else can chime in

Thanks for the heads up on the a123 cells. I will have to look into it a bit more before purchasing anything just yet.
