Just found this link on the forum: http://electricscooterparts.com/tires.html
Haven't browsed too much, but seems like they have lots of stuff.
Hope this helps! :D

Nah, unfortunately they only sell 6" as the smallest and fairly narrow at 1 1/4" too, no 5" tires/tubes...most likely won't find in the States through scooter parts suppliers but the large scale RC airplane market (for tail wheels, etc) seem to sell a variety of small size pneumatics here, lastly try Chinese suppliers through alibaba or sellers of the Skike off road roller blades in Europe or elsewhere but I assume you've tried that avenue thoroughly already, great design by the way!!

Here's one seller of a full wheel 6x1.25 (elecricscooterparts only sells tire and tube, no hub...):

Medical supply store: (always only grey color, uggh)
http://www.caremedicalsource.com/Shop/Wheelchair-Parts/Wheelchair-Casters/6-Wheelchair-Casters

5" and 6" + sizes tire, tube, hubs, whole wheels...

6" Airplane Nose Wheel, Tire, Tube, alu hub:

5" & 6" Wheels:
http://skike.com/

Avoid this product, it looks good and the tire is great (6x1.25") but the hub will crack and fall apart as soon as you ride over 5mph or go off the the curb or bump into anything (I know from experience and from others on this forum...):

The enertion wheels have arrived and he's done a nice job... a few niggles...valve caps don't fit and there possibly a bit heavy but i can live with that...and i got stung with a customs fee of £21 ..which it seems everybody has..so he needs to sort his shipping company out..I use Royal mail and my customers rarely get charged..
They make my wheels look tiny... and im not sure how these will perform in comparison to my thinner wheels which i an run at 80psi.. rolling resistance may be a fair bit higher.... testing will tell...
I'm just machining up some prototype 60T 5mm pitch pulley wheels to fit straight on allow fitment to my drive kits..im hoping on an easy swap out with existing kits...
I will be upgrading this deck to new one piece ABS cover ,BMS system which will mean i can pretty much waterproof it..and hope fully the new Alien Hand control... watch this space...

Hi Richard,
do you have any news about making a new pulley for the enertion wheels ???

I'm considering buying 4 but then I need to know first if a pulley is available ....

By the way, I checked out your video of the enertion wheels and they do not run that perfect. http://youtu.be/5ArI_RPPBSs?list=UUCjSqUoQr_Z7PC4UbSoqLcQ

Any comments on that ? Can you feel the wobbles when riding ? And any news about the drag and current consumption ?

Thanks a lot !
regards
Sebastien

well the actual alloy wheels are well made and solid...but the its the tires that let them down..not round , heavy and too wide with a low 40-60 psi pressure which gives a terrible rolling resistance.....so at this present time i wont be making the 60T pulley for it..i have made 2 prototypes so i could ride the wheels.....but that's it.. If i could get 20 orders for the Enertion pulleys - i would get some made for you.. they are threaded so you just remove the nuts on one side and the bolts attach to the pulley instead..really simple.. pity about the tyres..although as you can see on the video my tires wil actually fit them..there a bit loose before you inflate but once inflated they fit nice...

enertion pulley-

The range on these tires is terrible compared to my 5" x1" tire..its maybe half again ..so from a skate wheel maybe 10-12 miles ..my wheels around 8-9 miles..these are less than 4 miles..and you don't really need to use the brake down hill it just coasts to a stop..
Don't get me wrong there kind of fun to use and ride over obstacle well but you can feel the wobbles at speed...and the range kills it for me really...so unless you want to double your battery size and weight...

Fear not i have a plan and if it they work well on the test rides ..i will have my thinner ( my tires inflate to 100psi so nice and smooth riding..) wheels/tires/tubes/bearings for around £12.95 each in super light polymer.. and a dual drive kit complete with 60T pulley and 4 wheels for around £249.... hopefully available after Xmas...
i could do with knowing if people are interested at this price before i commit to a large batch... so guys..let me know...PM me...
a sneak preview.... ( mine are the special xmas white ones..lol) they will actually come in black with red rims and anodised 60T pulley..)

Nice wheels, look exactly like skike ones, just made to fit for skate axle lenght. I paid 10€ per wheel for the 5" skikes but had to mod them, so 12,50£ sounds fair for a complete wheel, nice! The more options we get the better :)

Richard,
This is in fact very usefull information and just in time, I almost pressed the “order” button ….

The Enertions are nice, but are not cheap which I was willing to pay for but then, if I have to buy other tyres for it, it becomes too expensive after all. So I guess I have to wait a while for your developments.
I’m very interested in your wheels and 60T pulley.

Thanks and keep us up to date !

Sebastien

Yes please put me on the list for the polymer hub wheels/tires - any eta for making them available?
Thx!

its been a busy Xmas at Alien and i've been putting together the test bed for the polymer wheels.. i originally started with a BMS fitted system but i'm having problems getting it to work..so i lashed up a quick setup with charging port to get me running..and actually it looks pretty nice in the smooth white finish..it matches the tyres..
I just need this bloody cold Yorkshire weather to go away..the roads are never dry enough to do a proper test..aghhhhh
I also intend to make and test a very short deck with just a single motor to see how well it works with these wheels. i envisaged a board that you can stash in a bag that can do maybe 20mph but will cover rough ground ( poor tarmac or pavements- )

The BMS setup..which has two charging ports the 5a for home charging and 2amp for my small power supply that i can take with me..:) first mock up

And the white smooth box with charging port- not ideal but its got me moving.. the Alien power switch is a godsend for quick setups.

So watch this space for test updates and wheel/kit availability..

this is sweet ! the videos accelerated is energetic but this setup seems to ride everywhere and smoothly. That's a really good and serious alternative to Evolve AT kit folks.. I know many people who are looking for this kind of versatile kit. Awesome. That's a winner for sure.

better resolution time lapse- be sure to set to HD 1080

This is just an illustration of the range of my little Urban 5 micro- its top speed of 22mph is maybe a little fast  for this size deck..the 6S is probably just right on flat ground at 18mph..
So stats of this run : (which was done in cold weather at 5 Degree C-and battery cut off set to 3.3v..so i think in warm weather with battery at 3v on flat ground..8 miles would be achievable.with a 10,000mah easily over 10-12miles)

Top speed -22mph
Range-5.4miles
Rider weight-80Kg
Terrain- varied
Battery 7S 6300mah

and a nice video of the board in use - again be sure to set to HD 1080

All looking very good! What are pinion and sprocket number of teeth?
So single drive works very well.

Can you describe the feel of comfort in comparison to the standard skate urethane wheels? I assume the feet will not feel numb anymore....
Last question : what thickness spacer do you use between board and truck?

Regards
Sebastien

Nice board! What's the length on that deck? Looks shorter than 36", but could just be the angle

Yes - not as much power up hills obviously (but im used to a dual 6kw. ) but as a flat terrain runabout its super fun...got a nice bit of acceleration..running 14T x 60t which will come in the Urban 5 drive kit..http://www.aliendrivesystems.com/st...e_-__________Not_available_until_Feb_2nd.html

Its a totally different experience..i would liken it to getting off a skateboard and riding a bike..you know you can ride over pretty much any thing and not stop dead in your tracks over a pavement crack..no vibration at all..no numb feet..much much smoother...only downside is range is decreased (simply due to the relatively soft wheels)but its a trade off.. well worth it though.

Due to the big mods i did to the deck nose and tail..the wheels clear on just 1/8" riser.. i am in discussion with a custom longboard builder to make some shallow drop decks with big wheel cuts to my spec..so the wheels can be fitted straight on..no modding...and i have another idea for the deck..ill let you know how that goes in a few weeks hopefully..
