Hi All

Been offered a brand new 48v/15Ah battery, Prismatic Lithium Ion Battery & Charger (Brand New) in black colour.
The battery is ( Brand New ) less than half the weight of SLA batteries and lasts up to four
times longer.

The battery size is below
Length 25cm
Height 16cm
Width 11cm
Weight is 6.3 Kg

Anyone comment on this or any info regarding it ?

I did ask the discharge current but seller does not know.

Thanks

Prismatic usually means pouch cells that are contained in a rectangular plastic enclosure. As opposed to naked pouch type cells, or round can cells.

If it's lifepo4 prismatic, its discharge rate is likely to be 2c meaning use at 1c as much as possible. 15 ah at 1c discharge rate is 15 amps. That's about what a typical ebike uses to got 25 mph, so it should run a bike with a 20 amps controller fine.

Cheers Guys, surprised it's so small the ?

Would of thought it would of been a lot bigger with each cell in a metal case rather than the foil pouches ??

Size is about right, especially for limn instead of lifepo4.

Why don't you purchase from a trusted seller? Or, are you buying locally?

if you post up a picture then we could tell you more. the chinese call pouch cells prismatic so until we see what you bot it is not possible to answer whether it is pouch type or prismatic as we call the cells in the rectangular boxes.
