ASI Bac855 settings to make throttle independent from PAS?

Hi everyone, I am almost satisfied with my asi bac855 controller with the acception of the fact that I cannot get my throttle to operate independently from my peddle. If I have my PAS on 1, my throttle will only go as fast as my PAS on 1 as well. Does anyone know what settings in ASI that I can change to enable my throttle to always have full power and full speed regardless of PAS settings? FYI, I am using bacdoor PC version (the older version) for my bac855 controller and eggrider display. I have played with all the settings in eggrider including power levels, power % and speed % but speed % seems to have zero effect on any number in there.

How do the ASI assist levels work? (you'll need to know this to know if you can do what you want).

Some controllers have the assist level applied to all inputs.

More have the assist level only apply to PAS, not to throttle (which always commands the full range).

Some of the latter do have mode 0 tied to both as a safety function, so that all input is disabled when in this mode, and those always power up in mode 0 to prevent accidental operation.

Some of those override any PAS input with the throttle, so if the throttle is being used at a lower level than the present PAS is set to trigger, the system only goes as fast as the throttle commands, until throttle is let off completely, at whihc point the system will automatically jump output up to whatever hte PAS was commanding. (the Cycle Analyst v3.x works this way)

Etc.

Is it the firmware on the bac855 or is it the Bacdoor app version? I have the older bacdoor software and I don't see that option on mine at all. image.pngimage (1).png

Is the bac855s firmware upgradable at all?

Also, does this mean that those options in features3 are not available at all on my version? Or do I just need to upgrade the software?

Edit it appears that I have the older firmware on my bac855. Does anyone know how to go about upgrading this? Can I copy the xml from another controller?

On another note, lets say my controller cannot update firmware nor can have the throttle and PAS act independently, can a cycle analyst control the throttle and PAS instead of the controller?

As long as the controller will operate from *just* a throttle, and does not require the PAS input to function, then yes.

You can go to ebikes.ca and the Cycle Analyst v3 info page to get more details on how it wires in and operates.

How do you *want* the system to work? As much detail on how you expect each control input to work will help us help you find a way to do that.
