Aussie Role Call

Bike path is roughly 50% of my commute, could be more if it wasn't so interrupted - use side streets.
Trams are ok, its the motorists overtaking trams more of an issue.

Yea, they have to overtake on the inside, don't they, forcing them closer to cyclists on the left. It can be tricky for interstaters who aren't used to trams. I once nearly cleaned up some pedestrians alighting from a tram, not aware it was a big no no to overtake a stopped tram letting passengers out. :oops:

I have been following your build and let me say its an absolute mater piece big thumbs up love the work you do. Also good to see a fair bit of aussies here on ES never new there were so many a big hello to all.
I hope to be starting a new build soon i am collecting some parts and thinking of converting a Kawasaki GPZ 250 to electric but that will be at least 2-3 months away need to get some more work so i can pay for the parts i require.

Hiya Vince always good to see another Aussie here, have you seen or heard of the aussie EV forum Geared towards motorcycle and cars more than bicycles, might be worth joining up there, they have a market place there might save you some dollars when you start to gather components?

Anybody have any Lara Bingle snapshots they want to post? Come on, where the bloody hell are they?

I keep reading about all these nude photos of her, but I've never seen one. I love how the latest controversy has been caused by a woman's magazine, with a woman editor, publishing a shower snapshot to all of Australia, when all poor old dimwitted Fav did was share with a few mates his mobile phone picture collection.

Well, I'm not a fan of hers, but I wouldn't say no to a roll in the hay with her. She's probably not half as beautiful as she imagines herself to be, but she is a long way from fugly.

Thanks for the link. I can't say the way her face is made up in that pic is attractive, but the rest of her without any make over, looks quite acceptable.

Goes with the territory, the bitch thing. I'm always reminded of the Woody Allan movie where he is a mad doctor trying to produce his perfect woman. Like Dr. Frankenstein, he does his experiment to produce one, transplanting, swapping, the nice personality of an ugly looking woman into the body of an attractive one who has a bitch personality, and visa a versa. When both women wake from the lab slab he is supposed to have the best of both worlds in one woman. Unfortunately Woody Allan being Woody Allan falls in love with the ugly woman with the transplanted bitch personality.
 
I was reading over the Daily Telegraph's web site. Of the 8 lead stories in the news section, 7 of them are sex related. One wonders whether there is any real news in Australia sometimes. The papers and government authorities appear obsessed with sexual scandal.

Welcome to ES mate...have you read enough to start thinking about which direction you will go? hub motor, non hub motor, rc setup etc?
Theres quite a few banana benders on here now too so you might even have some mebers local to give you a hand if needed if not, group ride maybe! Always fund to ride with another e-biker i have found from experience!

Well.. I've ordered an elation and I'm currently working on what bike to get. I'm struggling with the comfort vs speed thing :) I'm intending to commute with this thing so it will get a workout.

Just joined this forum a few days ago after getting my first e-bike. Name is Andrew and I am from the Parramatta area out Sydneys west. Bike is a stock green e-wheels bought off ebay (36V geared hub motor).

I don't seem to pass many cyclists out west on the commute to work, maybe because I start work a bit late, but the bike paths seem to have more mums with prams than bikes on them :?
