Maybe he just meant si as in yes... but Luna Cycle (lunacycle.com) sells a lot of relatively cheap 18650 battery packs, of varying quality depending on who you listen to. But is sounds like you've already had some experience with them...

Yes, I drove to Gardena to pick up a kit. I waited about an hour and, when I got home, the LCD didn't work.

A motor kit cost 200-500 dollars a battery cost 400- 1,000 dollars. Batteries cost more than motor kit.

I don't work for Luna Cycles met Eric at a etrack event 5 years ago saw my first fat ebike ever Eric's the man been working for ebike future. Haven't seen him since. My battery melts Motors controllers and chargers it's 41/2 years old and has 973 charge cycles. It's a 24s or 80 volt times 90 amps 7200 Watt battery or more that's the limit of my controller. Lunar cycle does not make a battery that fits my needs. I'm getting ready to order Westart 20ah graphene cells 20s 84 volt. One cell can discharge 200 amps. No BMS just sense wires and running Raw. No for children. And not a toy.
