I got a bafang mid drive in about 2017 from Luna Cycle. I have a 48V battery pack and it works well. I haven't had any reason to look into this before.
I plan on making some changes and replacing the battery is one of the changes. I read the motor can handle 52 volts, but the controller may have an issue and that might trigger an overcurrent shut down. It sounds like it what the controller is set for has changed a lot over time, etc.
I'd like to make sure mine can work with a 52V pack before I go ahead and purchase one. If it doesn't is there a way to change this setting? I see there are apps and a web version to change some settings, but did see anything about this.
I did read that the Eggrider will change what it displays the charge left or voltage for either which doesn't sound like that is the case for the displays supplied by Bafang. It too has an app you can change some settings on, but again in reading the manual I didn't see anything about changing a setting.
It seems like although I got a 52 volt battery this setup was supposed to work with either, but I mainly don't remember and might have been just as confused about this then as I am now.
