Bafang BBSHD Throttle works; PAS doesn't work.

Hello guys i have a BBSHD with an almost new controller. The throttle works, but not the PAS.
On the Controller side i checked the 5-volt, 4 Pin cadence sensor connector; it works.
After that i made a pedal turn test with pins on Black and Gray Cable it doesn't fluctuate between 0 and 5 Volt.

My DP10 display shows E08(motor hall signal fault) and E21 (speed sensor Fault) and E30 (communication Fault).
Although I can read the Speed, power in Watt... The Bike works great, just doesn't have PAS.

From what i researched i need to replace the Hall sensor. Could that fix the problem ?
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Check out the ebikes.ca site for the technical knowledge base and a well documented procedure for pas sensor testing. Just to confirm..

there are different types of hall sensors some that trigger on approaching a magnetic field others as they leave.. some while in contact and others when not.. - its generally a lot less hassle spending $5+ on a complete sensor unit and just fitting the replacement than extracting a sealed up sensor and re-sealing against the weather.

Hello, thanks for the reply, but I think I will need to replace the Hall Sensor inside.
This video seems to be helpful, but I'm not affiliated with that guy.

There's a small board with the PAS sensors buried behind the big gear. I have never taken one apart that far, so not sure how hard it is to replace. Part #9 in the diagram below.
If the grey and white wires aren't toggling when you move the pedals, there's a problem with the board or the wiring.
The board itself will have two hall sensors on it. Those could be replaced if bad, but it would very strange if both of them went bad at the same time. A bad connection between the connector and the board would be more likely.
