Hello everyone
i'm new here. I got this bike from a shop for free without batteries (the original pack was nimh 24v 8ah). Here are the pics

the motor is labelled bafang swx01 24v 250w. the byke has PAS and no throttle.

i got some questions
1) as you can see on the label there's written 48-36-24 Do you think they are voltages i could use ? I'd like to use 36V . can i fry something ?
2)the controller has black and red wires that are disconnected . Do you know what they are for ? could it be for throttle ?
3) is the white-white a speed limiter ?
4) the controller has a jumper . do you know what is it for ? could it be for lvc voltage ?
5) watching tha label : if 15A is max current output what's 7A (could it be current with limiter) ? 20.5V is the cut-off? what's 1.2-4.4V (could it be throttle range) ?

the only info from a search on the forum (from here viewtopic.php?f=28&t=4625&p=72137&hilit=swx01#p72137 )are :
- 24V controller version has cutoff at 17V, it can handle up to 50V
-the controllers only differ in the cut-off-voltage,

1) It seems the controller is able to use up to 48V . BUT the low voltage cut is 20.5v. This means you won't have any protection if your 36v battery drops bellow a certain point. I am pretty sure you can modify the LVC but I don't know how.

2) I am pretty sure a hall sensor throttle needs 3 wires and not two...

3) No idea ... I doubt there is a speed limiter ...

4) I doubt the jumper is a speed limiter . It should be for 180o or 90o for the hall sensors ... depends on the motor...

5) 7A should be continuous current and 15A should be the maximum current for a limited period ( 5-10 sec ? guesstimate ) . 20.5V is cutoff for sure. 1.2-4.4v should be throttle.

the capacitor is 50V, meaning it should be fine for 36V, but there is always a chance it won't handle it for some other reason. Should be ok, but Only one way to find out

Some euro standard bikes do have a speed limiter, and on the last one I saw, it was a couple of white wires.

1.2-4.4 would be the throttle voltage range, meaning set up for a hall type throttle or something similar. But a throttle needs 3 wires, Power, ground, and signal.

20.5 is the voltage cutoff. Diffrent chemistries have diffrent cutoffs. the 17V you found would corispond better to a SLA(lead acid) type, were this might have been Lithium based originaly.

the small black and red could be aux power, for a light or something else not used on this particular bike. I realy have no idea.
