You could try disconnecting one side of the sensor and measure the resistance across it. Most likely should read around 10K at room temperature.

I checked the resistance of thermistor, and at 23C it is about 1.09kOm, at 80-110 is about 1.14kOm.
As it changed depending on temperature I suppose that it works.
Also tried 10k NTC thermistor, no changes, display shows the same error 10.
Will wait for the controller replacement.
