I installed the BBS02B mid-drive on an old Airbourne Zeppelin during the COVID lockdown. The only issue I have had was that about a year ago, I had some wiring rubbing when I turned sharply. It rubbed through the wires, so I fixed and that was that. About 2 weeks ago, on my commute home. (I ride 6.4 miles one way, 12.8 miles total a day) I had both error 04 and 21 come up, and the screen went black. I was still able to use PA, but my throttle was dead. Ordered a new throttle and speed sensor, replaced them, and the dreaded error 30 came up on the ride home. Road to work with no display and only on PA, and about halfway home, the pedal assist stopped working also. I retraced all the wires, and nothing was rubbing or damaged. I was able to get into the programming with the data cable. I did not change anything. I was just making sure it would connect. That made me buy a new controller. Put in the new controller and error 30 still comes up. I can turn it on, the display comes on, and just about the time I would normally get how much of a charge my battery has, error 30 comes up again. And now it does not connect through the data cable.

Any ideas or help?

I wanted to update this situation. I went back to basics and started everything over. Took the screen, brake, gear, throttle, speed sensor, and 1T4 EB cables off, then pulled the controller. It is a new controller. When I opened the controller, the white plug in it, which connects to the motor, was not seated as well as it should have been. I made sure it was secure and then examined all cables thoroughly. I did not see anything, so I put it back together. My error 30 is gone. The bike runs. What I do not get is why I am getting error 21 now. It is a brand new speed sensor. I will figure it out.
