The best thing about hot gluing and slippery, easy to flip cardboard sleeves when attempting your first ever pack:

And yet another lesson learned.... solder just plain don't stick to sub C nicad cells straight out of a harvested pack. Damn. Maybe a little sanding will help. :evil:

Even better... I could just slide it right out of it's cardboard sleeve with a little push so I could orient it correctly. These are just little 1.2v sub C nicads (stamped as made in japan) harvested from some service center Milwaukee 18v packs. This is my first pack build attempt so I'm trying a simple 30s1p 36v 2.4ah test pack for things like "does my motor work" etc.
