Get a BLACK bike. All BLACK clothing. Don't forget BLACK gloves, shoes, and a ICE style BLACK face mask. Any shinny metal parts aluminum, chrome, SS parts on your bike? Get them anodized BLACK. Check moon phases for a no moon night. Drink some BLACK Ale. Find a dark road with no lights. Report back on colors not relevant.

How to get the proper advice, read before asking
Desired max speed on level ground. mph or kph AS FAST AS A OVERWEIGHT 50 SOMETHING GUY CAN PEDAL. NO MOTOR TODAY. ELECTRIC IN FUTURE IS A POSSIBILITY.
Desired max range at what cruising speed. mph or kph 4 MILES TO WORK.
Preferred bike wheel size, or wheel size of bike you want to convert. Most common kits are for 26" wheels. 26 OR BIGGER.
Brake type of motor wheel. Disc or not. RIM BRAKES ARE FINE. ANY TYPE THAT STOPS ARE GOOD.
Rider weight. 250 POUNDS
Terrain. Exp: mostly flat, some short hills under 20% grade, I want to climb mountains, etc., etc. NO HILLS
Budget. WHAT EVER IT COSTS. WANT GOOD QUALITY. LOW COST.
COLORS? No BLACK. No WHITE, Having mixed feelings about GREY. I like colors. How do you spell GRAY?

Yes. Not idiot proof but somewhat idiot resistant. Easy to understand for people who otherwise avoid shifting.

I like that hub a lot. Even more when it has a coaster brake. Then it is all a bike needs other than a place to sit.

That's only 2 speed auto-shifting, I think. Bafang does have a modern 5 speed automatic shifting hub called the A510:
