Hello forum,

I had a question about buying a light (F and R)

I currently have a solarstorn twin light at the front, and an inbuilt rear light that is part of the battery, which on my bike sits under the pannier rack. The rear light, whilst adequate, is a bit of a pain to turn on, and sometimes I even forget

What I am looking for is a reasonably priced set, F and R, but one where the rear light gets turned on at the same time
when you switch on the front one.

I have looked around, but have been unable to find any.

Do they exist, and if so, do you have any recommendations

Many thanks

Chris

This sounds like something that can be solved with a bit of DIY ingenuity. You could parallel the front light's switch wires and run them to the rear assembly or add in a relay to turn on the rear.

These are fairly universal since they can be used with 36v or 48v systems. With this you won't need a separate DC/DC converter to run standard 12v lights.

It does have a "KT controller" specific adapting harness but that can be cut and wired for your specific bike too. Just need to provide us with some info to help you wire this up if you decide to go this route.

@pwd Thanks for your reply! I am not that technical, so would find it difficult to do this

I will have a look at this as it may be the only solution. FYI, the front system I have at the moment is here:

This is the Battery: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12-8Ah-48V-E-Bike-Electric-Bike-Bicycle-Lithium-Battery-AU/273566389873?hash=item3fb1d3d671:m:mClsEBBfPEp7NnEBHgdIGsA

To be honest, I am surprised that most bike light systems are not kitted with a common on/off switch, that turns the back and front on simultaneously

Thanks Chris
