We got a couple of feet last week. I've decided to stay completely on top of it this year. We shoveled and plowed for four days to get it back to normal. Where we are, if you don't keep up, it will stack up until it's ten feet deep and you have to walk through snow shovel wide tunnels. We got behind last year and it was May before I could find the dirt bike. The good news is that I've finished insulating the shop and I will have the heater installed by tonight!!!
There is definitely an advantage to the snow though. My wife and I did property maintenance for a couple of years and there is one house we still take care of here and there. Last summer, I took a week vacation from the shop/bike build we built a nice trail down their hill so they could get to the lake. Well, it's awesome with a couple feet of snow on it!!! It's long enough to get six or eight long fast sweeping powder turns and one set of switchbacks makes a really cool jump. The actual trail is like a mini boarder cross course and we're planning on building the berms up and maybe making some more jumps if we have time. We took about six runs each the other day but the hike back up is killer.
Around here, when the bikes are buried, it's time to get out the snowboards!!!
