Anyone got an expanded schematic for this motor? My buddy laid the bike down today and cut the yellow wire coming out of the motor. It is past warranty and I need to pull it apart and replace it.

Any advice?

You might not be interested in hot-rodding it, but this give you an idea of what the motor looks like (even though its a 9C motor it will be similar) Remove the side cover on the side of the motor that the wires exit. Then replace any wires that are broken with new wires by feeding them through the axle (this is the tricky part).

It might be a good time to upgrade the phase wires for hot-rod purposes

Thanks. I finished rewiring it. I didn't upgrade it as the inner diameter is only 7mm. In order to upgrade I would need to bore out the hole. I am a heavy guys so I chose not too.

So I plugged every thing back in and nothin!!!! I opened the controller and there is a flashing led so it has power but the motor won't spin. I checked and rechecked the wires for power and the right color.

If for some reason one of the hall sensor wires wasn't having good contact with the board would this cause the motor to not spin?

If the power to the hall sensor is bad, it might cause the motor not to spin at all, but I imagine you should see at least some movement. Was it possible that the phase wires were shorted when he crashed? If thats the case it could have done the controller in. Lyen has a hall-effect sensor tester that he has for sale for 30 bucks, it would really help you out right now to make sure everything is connected right.
