BMS signalab chip flat lining

still don't know what flat lining is or how you measured the voltages. but if this is lipo like you said then you should not be using the ping signalab since it is made for lifepo4 cells. but i am assuming it is lifepo4 if this is a vpower pack.

is there any way you could show how and where you are measuring and what the actual voltages are when it is off the charger and what they are on the charger?

why did you expect a voltage on P-? do you realize that the BMS is connected at the bottom of the pack and it should be zero on B-?

you may have had no problem with the other BMSs you have replaced.

Flat lining is when something dies, ie if a person dies in the hospital their ekg will flat line when the heart stops.

Updated info. 20 cells of 270 from pack did not take a recharge.either 0 reading or 4.4 reading.removed the 4.4 and they dropped below 1 after making dinner. I have removed these from the pack. Ordered A123 cells 20 pieces 80% charged for 45 bucks. Will install and let you know how the whole pack work outs. My feelings for a V pack are simple. Decent cells lousy construction on pack. Hot glue and spot welds. Freakin cheap. Any Ideas on swapping out spot welds? Figure I'll keep this battery like this until I biuld my own

Ok. this is the area of bad cells. Do I replace or remove and make this huge battery smaller.
